Our History

In 1997 Ruth & Kathleen Huddlestone organised the first Buxton Health & Healing Festival at the Pavillion Gardens in Buxton, Derbyshire. They continued to do so together with great success making it a lively and vibrant annual event. Four years ago Kathleen decided to bow out of organising the festival to concentrate her time on the teaching of her extremely succesful Crystal healing courses.

Ruth together with her husband Neil now continue the successful organisation established over the past ten years.

In 2005 Body & Soul Events decided to hand over the show they organised at the Pavillions of Harrogate (part of The Great Yorkshire Showground). Ruth and Neil were more than happy to take on this delightful venue as they had attended the event as stall holders in previous years. In september 2006 they held their first Health & Healing festival with the same success as that of Buxton.

Both events have a unique atmosphere of their own and attract many well known speakers and authors, some of whom are internationally known, many visitors return to the festivals year after year.

Ruth and Neil both feel the part of the success is due to both events being held in Spa towns with their history of health and healing over the centuries.
